This flag represents the Original 13 colonies of the United States, referred to as the Betsy Ross or Colony Flag.
Made from retired wine barrels, these flags utilize the barrels toasted head as the star field, with all 13 stars individually cut out. Each stripe is alternating inside and outside pieces of the barrel staves. The outside patina'd from years of use, and the inside stained from the cherished wines. Each piece is individually cut, flattened, and secured to a solid substrate to give it its clean look, and durability.
Alternating stripes are red because the red wine stains the interior of the wine barrels red while being aged.
Toasted heads come from White Wines, while the stained staves are from the Red Wines.
Flags include a hanger (or two for the Large and X-Large sizes) to hang the flag up if you would like to do so.
